The LABTA Travel Tech Council has organized a travel tech "pitch contest" with 5-6 travel startups that all focus on various travel themes for 2018 and beyond (ie. AI, Blockchain, Consumerization of the Enterprise, VR, etc). There will be a panel of 4 judges, consisting of Travel Managers & Procurement Managers from companies such as Sony Pictures, Snapchat, Cognizant, Riot Games, along with Jonathan Mooney from New Ground Ventures. The format will be a 5-minute pitch from each travel startup, followed by Q&A from the judges & LABTA audience. No actual investment will be made, this is to create broader awareness on new travel technologies coming to the market, and to let up-and-coming travel companies share their new ideas with the broader LA & CA travel community.

  • Drew Mitchell: Cognizant - North America Travel Lead
  • Lawrence Aldridge: Sony Pictures Entertainment - SVP, Chief Procurement Officer
  • Sean Parham: Snapchat - Global Travel Ninja
  • Tyson Trautmann: Riot Games - Engineering Lead, also General Partner at Blacktop Capital
  • Jonathan Mooney: Venture Investor/Advisor at New Ground Ventures in Los Angeles
